ДАНИЯЛ БЕК ГАЛАДЖЕВ: МАЛОИЗВЕСТНЫЙ ОФИЦЕР АЗЕРБАЙДЖАНСКОЙ ДЕМОКРАТИЧЕСКОЙ РЕСПУБЛИКИ

Abstract

The military-political history of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (1918-1920), is replete with unexplored personalities who left a bright mark in history. Their role in social and political life deserves the attention of researchers. This cohort includes 44-year-old Lieutenant Colonel of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic Daniyal bey Galajev Unfortunately, his life path is little known to a wide range of readers, and with deep regret, we have to state that so far it has not become the subject of a special study, although recently many rich illustrated publications about famous personalities of the era of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic have been published in Azerbaijan. A small story about the life of Daniyal bey Galajev is given in the book “The Executed Generals of Azerbaijan”, by the Azerbaijani military historian Shamistan Nazirli, excerpts from which were used by us when writing this article. In this article, the author decided to recreate the historical portrait of the little-known lieutenant colonel Daniyal bey Galajev and the Belokan zone of Azerbaijan. His short but amazing life is of great interest. Just one stroke: after the establishment of Soviet power, he was offered to leave Azerbaijan. He flatly refused, saying that he would not be able to leave his mother, his family in Belokan, showing that he was not only a high-ranking officer, but also an example of an unbending spirit and high morality
