Abstract: The article describes the industrial process for the production of chloromethyl (methyl chloride) with the new technology of liquid phase hydrochlorination of alcohols. The article proposes one of the ways to modernize the existing facility by changing the raw material preparation stage and reorganizing the reactor assembly.
